Carol Stephenson, for the past 30 years as an academic librarian, has been engaged in issues affecting scholarly communication from roles at the university, provincial, and national level and has participated on publisher advisory boards. Carol currently provides electronic resources licensing and negotiation services to the Council of Prairie and Pacific Libraries (COPPUL) which includes 37 universities and colleges in western Canada. Carol was also involved in the Ontario university e-book deal with eBOUND and ACUP as part of her previous licensing role with the Ontario Council of University Libraries (OCUL).
